Potential of permanent magnet recovery from Dutch waste: the case of Hard Disk Drives

Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) contain a significant number of critical and strategic raw materials (CRMs and SRMs). This study from the Netherlands Materials Observatory (NMO) analyses the current recycling of these CRMs in the Dutch value chain. The report provides various technological and policy recommendations to increase the recycling rate through adjustments in the value chain.
